Cynthia Ann Reid

Cynthia Ann Reid, age 68 of Okemos, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing. A celebration of Cindy’s life will be announced at a later date.

Cindy was born on October 5, 1951, in Detroit to the late Gerald and Carol (Mohr) Berner. She attended North Farmington High School, graduating with the class of 1969 and would go on to earn her Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Michigan State University.

On June 23, 1973, Cindy married her high school sweetheart, Robert E. Reid, in Farmington, Michigan. Cindy was a guidance counselor with Haslett Adult Education and later with Williamston Middle School before retiring in 2002. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and enjoying the company of her family. Her favorite pastime was simply being “Grammy” to her granddaughters.

Mrs. Reid is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob of Okemos; daughter, Carrie Lloyd and husband Kelby of Okemos; and granddaughters, Eliza, Annie, and Katie. She is also survived by her brother, Bruce Berner of Dearborn; and sister, Barbara Richardson and her husband Steve of Novi; as well as a large extended family.
