There will be a Community Tornado Recovery Meeting today, Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Durand High School cafeteria at 3pm. The presentation will include topics regarding the tornado and power outages that hit Shiawassee County on Thursday, March 13, 2019 with a community resource fair to follow. Shiawassee County Emergency Manager, Trent Atkins and Shiawassee County Sheriff, Brian BeGole will present and give updates about the damage that has been done, what to do with debris, the recovery process, and local resources available. There will be tables set up in the cafeteria after the presentation if you have questions or concerns about the following topics after the presentation:

Insurance
Pets or animals
Food, water and sewage safety
Mental health
Personal security of your home site or fraud
How to volunteer
Vital Records
Consumer safety
Temporary storage
Shelter/housing
Veterans Assistance
