Did you ever wonder if that family heirloom collecting dust could actually be worth something? Come find out Saturday, September 22 at the Shiawassee Arts Center when appraisers from DuMouchelles Fine Arts Auctioneers and Estate Appraiser of Detroit will be on-hand to evaluate your collectibles, jewelry, antiques and more. These are the same appraisers who have appeared on the popular TV show Antiques Roadshow.

Between 10am and noon, SAC members will have the exclusive opportunity to have their treasures appraised. From noon to 3pm, the general public is welcome. Appointments are not needed --- items will be evaluated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost for SAC members is $5 per item, $10 for non-members --- up to three items. Become a SAC member and save!
Guests will enjoy refreshments, live music, a silent auction and SAC’s new featured exhibit of work by Jann Johnson Lardie, Karen Miller and Richard Tesner.
The Shiawassee Arts Center, located at 206 Curwood Castle Drive in Owosso, is open Monday through Friday, 12-5pm, weekends 12-4pm. The Arts Center features the artwork of local and statewide artists in eight galleries including the Frieseke Gallery and a specialty Gift Shop. The public is welcome and there is no admission charge. SAC, which is celebrating its 46th anniversary in 2018, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage participation and appreciation of the arts. The movie 'Storage,' directed by Jeff Kapp, will shoot for two days at Turk's Mini Storage in Perry. Kapp told Perry Pulse that he's looking for "an older muscle car, preferably not in the best shape but driveable."
