More information on a new Genesee County task force called G.H.O.S.T., which stands for Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team, and an investigation that led to the arrest of, and charges against, 22 men from throughout southeast Michigan, was revealed last week. One of those men is from Perry Township.

Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell said Sunday that 22 individuals face 66 felony charges between them, related to soliciting sex with underage children. Pickell said in a Sunday statement that while targets were in Genesee County, men came from numerous surrounding counties, including Shiawassee. 21 of the 22 were arraigned last week, Pickell said, one more is still being sought.
On Sunday June 9th, Pickell shared photos of all the men that included names, ages and career/job information. One of the men was a Senior Vice President at a bank. Another was a loan officer at a credit union. Others were employed in the fast food industry. Some worked in construction trades and some were unemployed. There were a variety of career backgrounds for the men who range in age from mid 20s to early 70s.
