Get Your Goat! Shiawassee County Fair Youth Market Goat Tagging Is May 11th

Goat Exhibitors Must Own and Possess Livestock by May 1st

Youth Market Goat Animals to be shown at the 2019 Shiawassee County Fair, August 4-10, must be owned by the exhibitor and be in the exhibitor's possession by May 1, 2019. All Market Goats must be tagged, weighed and identified at the beginning of the project year at the Fairgrounds by the Goat Superintendents to be eligible to show in the Market Class and sell in the Small Animal Auction.

Market Goat tagging will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Small Animal Arena. The Fairgrounds is located at 2900 E. Hibbard Road, Corunna, MI. 

All Market Goats must be tagged on this date. No exceptions. Goats must have a scrapie tag in its ear. Exhibitors must also bring one of the following:

1. If the goat is from your own farm - you must bring your farm premise number letter to verify the scrapie tag, or

2. If your goat is purchased - you must bring a completed and signed owners statement transfer of ownership paper.

Dinner will be served from 11:30am to 2pm.
