The process began Sunday: chainsaw crews working to clean up fallen trees and natural wood debris around the Village of Vernon and the Bancroft area that was affected by last Thursday’s tornadoes.
Residents are asked that any unwanted wood and brush be placed neatly near the road side for pickup. It is recommended that persons working to clear this debris wear protective clothing like boots, gloves, eye and hearing protection. People should take breaks to rest and be sure to drink plenty of water while completing this work.
