It's 11:11 on Wednesday night.  Your wish for Thursday might be those spring-like temperatures we had over the weekend, but alas, she is Michigan, and she is occasionally temperamental.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Shiawassee County, to begin at 4am Thursday and continue until 6pm Thursday evening.

The agency indicates that we could see another 3 to 5 inches of snow accumulation by the end of the day Thursday.

On Wednesday afternoon, Superintendent of Perry Schools, Mike Foster, informed parents of a "secure mode" lockdown that occurred at the high school on Wednesday morning after students reported to administrators that a fellow student had threatened to "shoot up the school."

The letter from Foster indicates that student was removed from class immediately and searched for weapons.  The student's parents were called, as was the Perry Police Department, and the student was ultimately removed from the school.

Foster said a formal complaint is being forwarded to the Shiawassee County Prosecutor's Office via the Perry Police Department.
